50 Cent x D-Block x Maino x Cory Gunz x Trav – Thisis50 Fest

October 4, 2009

“They got a chance to see us compete…now they gonna watch us eat.”

Went to this concert last night with the homies D-Black and Prophit, must say it was a good feeling for a NYer to see all of the above get together and put it down for a great show with many surprises. It’s great to see 50 get beyond all his beefing tactics and start what looks like a mission to unite NY and bring hip hop back to the birthplace. Stay tuned!!

Jadakiss – Take Me To New York

September 23, 2009

Jadakiss is loving his state as he comes out with “Take Me To New York”. I think the big homie Jay-Z has gotten Jadakiss, along with a couple of other artist feeling lovey dovey for New York City with the recent release of his new single “Empire State of Mind”

Styles P & Pharoahe Monch @ Brooklyn Hip Hop Festival

June 21, 2009

The Official family was at the annual Brooklyn Hip Hop Festival. Here is some footage of Styles P just shutting the whole show down. I think Matik says it the best. Like everyone was on their tippy-toes just screaming at the top of their lungs. This was like maybe the second best Brooklyn Hip-Hop festival, the first one being the 2nd Festival with Big Daddy Kane. After the jump is a video of Monch doing Simon Says. More videos with Grand Puba, J.Period, Monch, Buckshot, and many others will be up come this monday. Oh yeah they need a better sound man next year, whoever the sound man was this year, seem to like not care about the audio, because everyone was just peaking with their vocals, and I felt it took away from the overall performance of each act.
