K. Sparks x T-Mos x Mark Henry – DC2NY (Mixtape)

August 30, 2009

I must admit wasn’t really familiar with Queens, NY emcee K. Sparks even tho I’ve heard his name constantly around the city, and after hearing this tape, I must say I am instantly a new fan. K. Sparks hooks up with DC producers Mark Henry and T-Mos for a DC2NY collab mixtape that promises to bridge the gap between the 2 cities making noise in the hip hop world as of late. This is how more projects should be done, pick producers to build a cohesive project and not just for the names. Props for this and just vibe out!

“Here is a project that was produced by my fam T Mos and Mark Henry…T Mos initiated this process in an attempt to unite producers from the DC area with an emcee from NY…therefore we began working on this project…T Mos and Mark Henry took care of the production while I handled the rhymes…the project came together well and is def a solid joint…props to everyone that supports”

D-Black – Believe It (Remix)

August 26, 2009

D-Black did this remix sometime last year for the Saigon x Just Blaze single for their unfortunately never released Greatest Story Never Told debut LP, but as of recent, looks like they’re pushing it again for Saigon’s Warning Shots 2, so we figured why not let it out for the masses to listen to. D-Black is hard at work on his upcoming NBC2 project as well as collabo albums with Khrysis and Illmind in the works. Stay tuned.

Jay-Z feat. Drake – Off That (prod. Timbaland)

August 24, 2009

I’m a Jay-Z fan just like alot of people are who love hip hop, but this is not what I want Jay to come with on BP3, especially with a lineup that on paper reads like a dope collabo, but fails on all aspects, you be the judge. These are just my thoughts…
